Well this was an adventure and maybe this info will keep somebody from wasting time
like I did..( Feels like wasting but learned alot on Linux video)
Pretty much on Older intel chips QSV is mostly decode only and has no benefit for encoding so
If thats what one needs it for better buy a new fast intel computer. (faster the better)
The easy way to tell If you have QSV and its working is to look at it in handbrake.
I discovered that my Intel pentium 4405u supports QSV rather well both decode and encode
to my surprise but being a low end machine it did not benefit it much.
Not going say QSV is a lost cause but one must have the right hardware for it to be of any benefit.
Sooo thats all I got on the matter..lol
