I have been a Budgie user and its grown on me because of age and just wanting to keep things simple.
But the ongoing trend to wayland I figured better check it out and get use to it.
So I installed Plasma After a few bumps that all in all where not Plasma issues Finally Have
it to my workflow.
All in Its a good DE Does things different but can be configured to ones style fairly easy
and certian things may be alittle more stable on Plasma.
The only issue I have is being able to adjust the gamma in Wayland its to dark for me and my monitor controls
dont adjust enough.
But my attempt with wl-gamma build did not pan out (But still looking) although I can use Plasma in X11 with Kgamma and adjust everything ok.
But not really what I wanted another X11 machine.
AS always with Solus one can not go wrong just find the flavor you want and go to it.
And the forum is a great friendly place to get help.
