Saved OpenVPN connection fails after restart

Hi everyone, I'm new to Linux and running Solus on an Asus E200HA-UB02 (4GB DDR3, 32GB eMMC SSD, Intel Atom Z8350). I realize the XFCE version is in Beta, but I was wondering if there is a solution to having OpenVPN connect after a reboot or restart. I initially used Solus Plasma and was able to set up IPVanish in the network settings and connect following setting it up and after a reboot. Now, with XFCE, I can set up VPN connections to IPVanish; however, when I restart the laptop, the connections fail. If I set up a new connection to IPVanish, it connects, but the stored connection fails. Any thoughts?

Micronoid HI! Did you try Autostart thingy?

They aren't looking to start an application. The VPN connection they set up was not saved in network settings.

I don't know about that. ChatGPT and other LLMs can provide wrong or really outdated information. It's a better idea to ask us in the Solus Support room in Matrix, or raise a bug report.

I haven't run XFCE in a while, and I can't test this at the moment. This does sound like a bug. Can you please create a bug on our tracker? Thanks.

HI! Did you try Autostart thingy? (I'm not suree I'm on budgie but should be "System -> Session and startup -> startapps" or something like this), you can also try to ask chat gpt about how to put apps on autostart on xfce, sorry if couldn't help :p

Micronoid Thank you, however, I'm just trying to get the stored VPN settings to connect after a reboot or restart. Were you referring to adding the settings to startup (to auto-start) the VPN?

Yeaa, just lil confused about what exactly you trying to do... Shouldn't your VPN store those by itself?
