Ad 1. Figma on Linux, which runs on Electron, will open as a standalone application. You don’t need to use a browser. You can use AppImage.
Ad 3. Lunacy works well with Figma files — it can open, edit, and export .fig and .svg files. It is often used as an alternative to Figma. It has many tools compatible with Figma, such as a similar interface, support for components, layers, etc.
Are there any issues when one person uses Lunacy and the rest of the team uses Figma?
Lack of full online synchronization: Figma is primarily a cloud-based tool with live team collaboration and version history. Lunacy works mainly locally, so syncing and sharing files requires export/import.
Differences in features: Some Figma features (e.g., online prototyping, cloud comments, real-time collaboration) do not work in Lunacy.
Potential compatibility issues: Not all effects, styles, or components may be perfectly reflected in Lunacy and vice versa.
Workflow: In a team, you need to ensure files are regularly exported and exchanged because Lunacy does not use Figma’s cloud.
