Hi all, two weeks ago the kernel space issue appeared again to me. But this time I had only one kernel installed, current. So it seemed that there wasn't space for a single kernel in my case. I got a "cannot mount boot partition" error that I could not recover from.
Weirdly, I could not access tty to fix it as the prompt would only appear for one second and go back to black screen.
Followed the instructions in the website to recover it, as I did a couple times in the past. But this time, it was a no go.
It's OK, I had my work properly backed up, and I managed to get elementary os running for a quick test. However, solus is much superior, I don't know what you do, but the distro is much snappier than Debian derivatives and arch derivatives that I tried in the past.
- Is there a failsafe in place so I don't run into it again in the future? A new installation should give me space for how many kernel iterations?
My last install lasted SEVEN years of total happy camping.
