kodicd Thanks, I've just spent about 25minutes floating through comments and links and you're certainly not wrong when you said it's a common issue across the board. It seems that patches have been sent for inclusion in the kernel but haven't been merged yet.
The scripts out there are all based on 4.x kernels and most not on the 4.19 LTS. I've tried to find a patch that might work against our kernels but I haven't found anything. Granted my knowledge is limited.
