Libreoffice KDE Integration graphical issues

Hello! Today I noticed that LibreOffice Writer has several graphical issues related to the text cursor. Keeping the zoom at 100%... Sometimes when I press enter, a cursor remains fixed on the previous line, other times when moving the cursor it splits into two, and so on.

I tried the Flatpak version and had no problems (even with graphic acceleration), but I noticed it wasn't using the LibreOffice KDE integration. So I reinstalled the Solus version, without reinstalling the KDE integration, and boom! Everything works! Has anyone else had similar issues?

Poor compatibility between my graphics card and the library?

This is a bug with LibreOffice itself. See this bug report:

This needs to be fixed by the LibreOffice folks.

TraceyC yep. probably related. I'm using fractional scaling in fact.
I'm just curious about: why removing libreoffice kde integration solves the problem?

Unfortunately, I can't answer that completely as the answer lies in the code, and I am unfamiliar with it. The basic answer is that there's an interaction between LibreOffice and the KDE Integration that triggers the issue, related to the Breeze theme.

By default, LO uses the default Qt style on Plasma. The integration allows it to use Breeze, which has updated quite a bit since the release of Plasma 6.
