I am looking into boot managers and wonder if anybody has had particular luck with
any.
Know of (refind) but I need to do some more looking.

I didn't like refind, personally. only saw grub never saw efi for me. It was hard as he** to uninstall.
efibootmgr in repo gets high marks but it never saved my changes, even after sudoso I stopped using that.
Be curious what other programs there are.

Squey does not look like a boot manager but it looks interesting. Both "create bootable drives" programs do, too (bootqt and impression).

rEFInd worked great for me and was super easy to install. The only issue was that Solus would reset the default boot manager to systemd-boot after every set of updates.
