brent Hi Brent. I had cataract surgery about 3 years ago. My eyesight is complicated by the fact I only have one good eye. I have been totally blind in my right eye since birth. I also have "floaters" the little spects and cloudy effects that drift around inside your eye.
The biggest change for me was not needing glasses anymore. I had worn glasses since the 3rd grade because I had always been very nearsighted. With the new technology they can put in a replacement lens that corrects your vision to nearly 20-20.
To finally answer your question. You will notice that colors are going to be brighter and maybe your night vision better. But too bright a screen can make it harder on your eyes. If you don't have floaters or other eye problems you may not need gamma control. You may only need to adjust the screen for warmer colors and less brightness.
