Set up Fcitx5 and Mozc in GNOME

Hi!

I'm trying to set up Fcitx and Mozc to be able to type in Japanese with my AZERTY keyboard, but I can't find a way to make it work. Just installing packages doesn't seem to work. The applet does appear but doesn't give me anything when I click to change the input method. The shorcut doesn't work either. What should I do?

Well after hours of struggling I FINALLY managed to do it, by installing the Flatpak version:

flatpak install org.fcitx.Fcitx5

And then installing the Mozc addon:

flatpak install org.fcitx.Fcitx5.Addon.Mozc
