I can't connect with cable

After updating on April 19th, I can no longer connect via cable. It seems to not recognize the Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8111/8168/8211/8411 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet Controller network card.
Does anyone know if this could be due to the new kernel?

Someone reported similar in the Solus Updates for Week 16 thread
and openend an issue for this on our dev tracker.

If this seems to be your problem, please comment on the issue I just mentioned above.
If your issue is different, please report it on the dev tracker.

If you have any internet connection you can try to revert the last update with the rollback commands described here

Hello,
This procedure does not work in this case, because without an internet connection there is no way to download older versions of packages.
The only solution is to download the older version of the linux-firmware package here and install it using the following command with the appropriate path :
sudo eopkg install PATH/TO/linux-firmware-20250311-90-1-x86_64.eopkg
And reboot the computer.

Seems like Solus downgrades realtek firmware for now to handle this issue via this commit
So, next update should fix your issues I guess.

I've installed the linux-firmware update to 20250410-92-1, and my laptop's network is up and running.
