With our little tool opensnitch snapd came up wanting internet access this morning.
I do not use snaps or have any installed can I uninstall it with out effecting anything.
Do you know what the auto interval snapd is set at by any chance?

Just a note from what I have seen with Opensnitch on Solus Budgie it is well behaved.
So much less system garbage than the mac

Snapd checks for updates 4x a day from memory.

You must have an older install as Solus 4.6 and 4.7 do not ship snapd by default any more. You should be able to remove it without issue, I removed it years ago.

I just removed this yesterday after seeing this thread. I can attest it went without a hitch. I know I have been building off a 4.7 install so I was surprised 1) that I had this and 2) surprised that Solus did not do what Solus always does: remove its own deprecated package. (or was it not 'deprecated'?)

It is not part of the default install any more, I tested to make sure.
