Took a look at the Serpent OS website today and the latest alpha build has been updated along with a rename of the product to AerynOS. Apparently the rename was implemented to generate a more trustworthy and positive image.
I wish AerynOS every success for the future.
Edit: So far not managed to boot any of the alpha releases onto any computers or Oracle VirtualBox, Not a lot of information on the website about system requirements yet. It might just be that my computer is too old or too weedy.

I downloaded the gnome iso but haven't dragged it ventoy yet. I have an older desktop. see if it's a trend.

AlphaElwedritsch My bad. I usually check the SerpentOS website about once a week to see how stuff is moving but pretty sure that today was the first time I had seen the website and iso re-branded.
Note to self - make coffee stronger in the morning.

I've managed to boot both the previous and current ISO in KVM/QEMU successfully. I also followed the guide here to install it within the VM: https://forums.serpentos.com/d/80-how-to-install-serpentos. It works well, using both GNOME and COSMIC. In fact, it persuaded me to try GNOME in Solus; I've avoided GNOME for a number of years, but I'm giving it another go...

stocc Thank you for the link to the guide, I will be definitely be giving it a try.

BuzzPCSOS worth noting that gnome boxes etc have terrible defaults and don't expose options easily. For virtual box, ensuring 3d acceleration is enabled, and uefi boot, are absolutely mandatory. They require going through the options and are easily missed. 🙂 works pretty decent off a live usb (just dd or etcher, ventoy butchers the config), providing secure boot is disabled. It's on the list, I promise 😆
