Since a while i cannot update due to this error:
Failed to fetch file, retrying 1 out of 5 "https://cdn.getsol.us/repo/shannon/m/mesalib/mesalib-25.0.1-263-1-x86_64.eopkg": HTTP Error 416: Requested Range Not Satisfiable
When i follow the link, i can download the package. Strangely, when i install the local package, i run into the same issue.

  • Staudey replied to this.
  • Since you've downloaded the file separately:
    sudo mv mesalib-25.0.1-263-1-x86_64.eopkg /var/cache/eopkg/packages/

Now the offending package is in eopkg cache, it shouldn't try download that file again and you can update as normal.

Why this is happening for you, I have no idea. I can not reproduce.

haligh Strangely, when i install the local package, i run into the same issue.

You get a "failed to fetch file" error when installing the downloaded package? 😮

It seems updates need to occur first. Within the update, the local package is not being used, since other packages might depend on mesalib to be updated. caught in a loop?
So i might need to figure out which of those packages require mesalib, uninstall them, install local mesalib and reinstall the others?
Not sure if that would solve, and if so, is there a eopkg command that does this magically =)?

And mainly, why is this Error 416 even happening?

      Like a charm,!

@Why: I had a network disconnect while updating recently. Maybe it somehow relates.

Thanks for the fast help, really happy!

My Solus repository still isn't updating. Why is this happening?

      haligh
What country are you from? Where are you from? Maybe you and I are from the same country and we have the same problems with the Solus repository.

Staudey I slept, woke up and everything worked! Solus developers did not leave the problem aside. Or maybe my country blocked cloudflare
But now everything works - I'm updating
