VLC Not closing

I have a issue on Solus Mate, Whenever i play a video file on VLC and close it, the tray icon stays up and it will not relaunch or play another video unless i kill the VLC process and start over again
Any thoughts or a setting to change

Does it happen on particular videos/video types or all videos?

I've noticed VLC also behaves the same way on Manjaro GNOME. Must be a VLC issue?

It does this on all videos and also did it on Solus Gnome also

Also same results using Budgie.

The FIX - Tools - Preferences - (uncheck) Show Systemtray Icon 🙂

I will, but i am not that good on command line to understand how to install it, Could i get a copy and paste on the method to do this? Sorry about that

Ah yeah that's because I built it against unstable and there some dependencies have been updated already. Sorry.

No Problem, Thank you for trying, but there is a definite issue with it hanging up
