Hello everyone! A month has passed since the last roundup, time for a new one. We made significant progress in the cleanup tasks. In this edition, we will talk about packaging, our website and documentation, cleanup crew and funding.

Welcome to the fourth edition of Contributor Roundup!

Packaging

We have 20 authors that committed to the packages repository, amounting to 1.129 commits in the month of February.

There was no change to the Packaging workflow in February. All previous changes to packaging workflow are kept in "Packaging Changes" page in the help center.

We still have 8 open issues tagged as "Good First Issue". Grab one while it is still there!

Solus Cleanup Crew

We addedmonitoring.yaml files to 377 packages. It has really been a time saver using boulder to add monitoring files, we also were able to write a little script to automate the process further. boulder gain the ability to match an RSS entry in monitoring files for Github and PyPI. We also added AppStream metainfo to 33 packages which is pretty good after a few months with little progress.

We deprecated 8 packages this time. These packages has been put on removal request since last year and nobody step up to maintain it or at least be against its removal. Here are the tasks that still need to be done and their progress:

Website and Documentation

We found two interesting themes for the website,Hextra and Hugoplate. We have limited experience with either of them, so we would still need help from other people. If you have any experience in web development, especially with hugo, we would love to hear from you. We also have a few open issues on our documentation and website repositories:
