Hi ! I have a Plantronics Blackwire C520-M which doesn't work on Solus :/
Are there any drivers to make this work?
Thanks !

Axios gave this a look. It's an HP product but no drivers available unless I downloaded an app an still didn't get as far as 'choose os.'
Lot's of Plantronics Linux threads out there: ubu forums etc, many 15 years old. None of them marked solved and the advice in all of them is work it out in Pauv or Alsa. tough one

brent Yup I noticed that when I was searching

in this thread a Forum member has a functional Plantronics headset and even shows a picture of sound control seeing the headset--these being Budgie settings. The implication is Budgie saw them right OOTB. This user last logged in in 2021 so I don't know if @patidou can contact that user for followup.

edit: a .conf edit? or does a usb headset introduce it's own problems?

brent Wow cool find was going to say kernel should support it.

Axios Now OP's DE does not see it then there are a series of commands to check stuff--don't recall them all now, lshw, blkid, and other see hardware commands. fuzzy on the sequence.

if OP's DE still doesn't recognize USB headset at the GUI level, I wonder if it's as easy as disabling one services or enabling another?

if OP's DE does see the Plantronics headset and the headset still does not work than the service thing is more likely.

Need more info, and this is pure spitballing.

Thanks for your replies (sorry, the thanks are a bit late...).
Not being at all comfortable with some technical terms (I'm french by the way) and the very specific Linux software (on an Acer hardware...), I'm going to test some JACK audio headsets with microphones.
I have other puzzles for you... on Reaper! But they'll be in a separate thread 😉
