pillmuncher When I click on the "Configure Server..." button, Input-Leap dies with this message: 5489 segmentation fault (core dumped) input-leap This is in all likelihood the same bug as this one: Seg fault when attempting to access "Configure Server..." dialog on Arch linux
MintSpider pillmuncher I am getting the same error when attempting to configure the server of input-leap Here is my terminal output: peter@tadhg ~ $ input-leap *** WARNING *** The program 'input-leap' called 'DNSServiceRegister()' which is not supported (or only supported partially) in the Apple Bonjour compatibility layer of Avahi. *** WARNING *** Please fix your application to use the native API of Avahi! *** WARNING *** For more information see <http://0pointer.de/blog/projects/avahi-compat.html> *** WARNING *** The program 'input-leap' called 'DNSServiceRegister()' which is not supported (or only supported partially) in the Apple Bonjour compatibility layer of Avahi. *** WARNING *** Please fix your application to use the native API of Avahi! *** WARNING *** For more information see <http://0pointer.de/blog/projects/avahi-compat.html> Segmentation fault (core dumped) peter@tadhg ~ $
Harvey Thank you for reporting the issue. As I had already configured input-leap I had not noticed. Upstream have addressed the issue but have not put out a new release https://github.com/input-leap/input-leap/commit/0bae409d577e1efddacec5be7b0c97329eff854f so I have patched it and cherry-picked it to stable. Update your system again and it should no longer crash. Please report back if any issues remain.
MintSpider Harvey Thanks mate. My wife and I are about to head on out for an event, so I shall check on this later. Solus just gave me the update notification.
MintSpider Harvey Arianna and I are now back home from visiting Villainous Gaming Pub, Lexington, Kentucky. Excellent place. I updated Solus, installed input-leap, ran it as a server, and it connected great to my laptop. You dude are absolutely awesome!
