Hello
I have just installed solus Budgie on an external SSD in order to test KDE Connect (I use solus xfce on the internal hard drive). Once my phone (samsung S23) is connected, it does not receive the file sent from the computer although a ping sent is received.
What should I do?
Best regards

ernesto Even without KDE Connect you should be able to move files either way between PC and phone.
With the computer OS running plug the phone charger lead into PC port.
Unlock phone and look for the message on the phone that says something like "device is charging, click to do more"
On the phone select transfer files.
You should now see your phone as an attached device on your PC and be able to navigate through your phone files from your PC.
If the above does not work try cleaning the phone USB port or a different sync cable. Some phone charging cables do not have data transfer functionality but the cable you got with the phone when new should have.
If this method works then try KDE Connect without changing the phone connections.

Might need to set permissions on the phone in settings. Not familiar with Samsung but my android 10 phone needed permissions to be set before files could be transferred.

      Hello
First of all, thank you for your answers.

To answer @BuzzPCSOS , via a USB cable connection, file transfer between the two devices works in both directions. However, via KDE Connect, I can't send files from the computer to the phone unless I use Thunar, click on the photo and do “send to” using KDE connect and check the box, “Open on an associated device”. The photo then appears on the phone's screen. I still get a notification on the phone that the file can't be transferred to the phone. In fact, it's only displayed and I can't find it in the phone's folder.
      To answer @banger.
I checked all permissions on the phone and on KDE connect, I defined a destination folder but it doesn't work.

This doesn't matter, because I can always transfer via USB cable.
I'll wait a few days to see if other solutions are offered, otherwise I'll mark the post as resolved.

Thanks again for your answers. Have a nice day. Best Regards

Do you have a firewall installed in your computer?

        Hi
I just use a usb cable.
As I'm on XFCE as Budgie is on an external ssd that doesn't disturb me
