For the life of me I cant find and dont remb what it was but their was something that I added
for connecting my Iphone and files.
I know it connects but there was some addon or something in the repo at one time
Does anybody have a clue?
Having trouble with an ipad thought I would try that but cant find it.

Axios @alfisya This is so very coincidental. I spent the afternoon with a friend trying to move files from a V1 iPad to a 2023 iPad.
A V1 iPad is no longer supported so all of the file transfer programs in the store require a later OS. Also I wasn't about to try using the cloud backup solutions which was what I was trying to get rid of in the first place.
Very much reminded me of why after a brief and painful relationship with an iPod, iTunes and a Windows PC that I never wanted to have anything to do with Apple tech again. No doubt a wonderful experience if you have the money for a Mac but I don't. The chance of making things work with Solus is so very much appreciated.

alfisya Well although it saw the iPad i was not able to see any of the file system which was disappointing. This website might prove useful to anyone trying to move/copy stuff about. Works well between most operating systems.
Snapdrop allows you to transfer files between any two devices that are on the same network over your WiFi connection. Navigate both devices to the website and the other device should be visible in the browser window.

Everything works fine on my Iphone copying stuff to and from Iphone.
But on my Older Ipad only copy stuff from ipad works
I get this error when trying to copy to Ipad

I just wanted to copy pdf docs to Ipad since its so outdated for other stuff.
Ipad mini 2 os 12.5.5

I think I figured it out dont have a folder files on ipad its just to the cloud.

BuzzPCSOS On budgie wont show in file manager I have a Places Icon in
my toolbar and I have to mount their and then use file manager to copy stuff onto Laptop.
Mostly use it for backing up photos.

You should be able to log in directly to iCloud on another device using your Apple ID. Any uploaded files should be accessible then.
