Problem with Install system and slow eopkg update on Solus 4.6

I cant install the system and when I do eopkg update I get very slow speeds

Also an approximate geographic location may be helpful to our developers for slow update speed.
It could be that your hard drive is slow, has corruption or is failing which could explain the slow speed. A quick check of SMART drive data and a hard drive check could easily prove that one way or another.
Edit:
If you are failing to install please do not try to install software or update while in the live installer. This will just fill your RAM with data and results in a failed install.

Edit: Oh wait, You can’t get it installed to begin with? If so that is the first issue to try and resolve as the slow download speed is likely because of running the live environment and doing a upgrade and all this while being limited by USB speed etc

@pixelado I’m not knowledgeable enough to dissect the log you shared so I’ll ask; Are you trying to install with encryption enabled by any chance? Reason is there is another user who reported not being able to install with it enabled.

Hopefully someone more knowledgeable chimes in and can offer more guidance. Hope you get it sorted!

Right, let's start from the beginning: installing software in the live environment doesn't make much sense. Most likely you gonna run out of RAM doing so If your RAM specs are only decent.
Do you have an up-to-date Solus 4.6 ISO?
How did you put it on USB? Did you check the checksum?
Doesn't the installer start at all when clicking on it?
