Merkuro Mail not showing - desktop entry wrong

Hello!
after installing Merkuro (Mail, Calender, Contacts) only the latter two are showing in the menu or KRunner. I looked at the org.kde.merkuro.mail.desktop file and there it is:

NoDisplay=true

I think this should be changed to 'false' or removed, so Merkuro Mail is visible in the menus. Or is there a reason to not show it?

We have not edited the .desktop files that is how KDE provide them.

Merkuro Mail is a free and open source email client. Merkuro Mail is part of the Merkuro groupware suite and is currently in beta. For now, it only allows you to read your emails.

I assume this is why KDE are choosing not to expose it.

I added a comment to that issue and closed it, but posting it here as well:

It looks like it's an intentional decision to cause it not to show up: invent.kde.org/pim/merkuro/-/commit/77c1dd6d18019498c1293304cb9eb3bfc3e4dd7d, most likely because while they build it by default for easy testing they don't yet deem it ready for public use. If upstream considers this not ready for public consumption I don't see any reason to override them, especially since it's easy to launch it from the terminal or edit the .desktop file to make it show up again.

If you want to override this you can copy the .desktop file to your ~/.local/share/applications directory and edit it there. Your changes will not be overridden on a package update.

Thanks for all the answers! I was occupied for the last days and didn't receive any notifications for this conversation (I have figured out why), but now I can reply.

Now I know, what's going on. So Merkuro Mail is in beta, but Calendar is not. Good to know!
