budgie-panel memory bloat

Did anyone else notice a significant increase of used RAM by budgie-panel over time?
It usually starts with _25MB, then goes up constantly.
I have one older laptop who was on standby (lid closed) for several weeks, and budgie-panel ate 1.1GB of RAM, rendering the whole system unusable.
The laptop where I'm writing this right now was rebooted several days ago and budgie-panel now needs 303MB, rising very slowly around one MB per 15 minutes, but when interacting with notifications it leaps some MB up.

Is this a bug or something?

After 5 days up, budgie-panel is using 59.4 MB here

After refreshing the panel with budgie-panel --replace, memory use was reduced to 5.3 MB

Not ideal, but occasionally replacing the panel might help.

Probably worth reporting to the project. First I'd try disabling any third-party applets though, if you have any.

Staudey Ah, thanks for mentioning third party applets. I guess I have to blame Nextcloud for this. On a fresh install without NC the RAM usage is constant, more or less.

mine looks normal at 17, it must be the other applets like staudey said - 2 cents
