Swap partitions or swap files

Heya folks! Right now, Solus only supports swap partitions (or no swap, of course), but not swap files.

We want to know what you think: Are swap files a desirable feature? What are people's preferences?

I dont use swap other than zram but if I run out of both ram and zram I would use a swap partition.

I dont have any issues with the current setup and it perfomance seems ok and stable.
So I guess would say it doesnt really matter as long as performance doesnt suffer or makes the platform more stable.

I don't use swap on mine and just stick to zram.

When Zram was not implemented by default in Solus, I preferred swap files over a swap partition. Now with Zram, I don't use either.

There are advantages and disadvantages to swap files. Swap files are very easy to create or delete, whereas shrinking a swap partition is very risky.

When installing Solus, I installed a swap partition.

Thanks for reposting Reilly's post!. I'd reinstalled Solus on my laptop since I enabled Zswap the first time, and wasn't sure where to look for the directions. Now finally using Zswap again.
