When I installed Vivaldi this weekend, and added LastPass to it I got a notification that my LastPass password vault could now be encrypted. I don't remember whether it was optional, but if so, of course I okay'd it. Since then I've logged on to many web sites that required my credentials, and everything is working well. If there's any processing delay due to the encryption, I haven't noticed it at all.
For anyone who's been considering using LastPass, this is one more reason why it's a good idea.
