How to add website in Laptop homescreen?

I want to add websites from browser to my homescreen ( in the picture ) . How to do that?

save your picture wherever you save your pictures.
eventually dump them in this folder ~/.local/share/backgrounds
unless I am in error---first coffee and all--budgie system settings will pull wallpapers from there by default.

I'm not sure I understood you right. You either wanted website wallpapers or you want to use your /Desktop as a png/jpeg directory?

AlphaElwedritsch never heard of that🙂. I would do that in a desltop .txt file.

This is an example. Change everything according to your details (name, browser, icon...)

Go to ~/Desktop -> Open new document -> Rename solus.desktop -> Paste

[Desktop Entry]
Version=1.0
Terminal=false
Type=Application
Name=Solus
Exec=brave-browser https://getsol.us
Icon=/usr/share/icons/hicolor/512x512/places/start-here-solus.png

Make chmod +x ~/Desktop/solus.desktop executable.

pomon let me say what I did after your first message

I went to Nemo > Desktop > created a new empty document and named it solus.desktop but I'm unable to open it. If i couldn't open the file how could I paste this

Unfortunately I can only speak for KDE, but Budgie should behave similarly.
In the desktop context menu you can select a URL link. That is probably what you want.
The last picture shows the content of the link.
Unfortunately everything is in German, because Linux is set to German.

To edit the file Right click -> Open with gedit.
There you have brave-browser, which I use, and you probably don't have it installed. Change to the browser you use, e.g. firefox.
Throw away this file and create a new one with the appropriate data.

I know this is marked as solved but Google Chrome does all this for you.
Just go to the website you want to create the Desktop Shortcut for

Click the Burger (Three Dots Top Right)
Go to the Cast, Save and Share
Choose "Create Shortcut"

It works for me with no issues.
