Unable to extract zip

I downloaded my music folder from Onedrive to store locally, 39GB but when I extract it throws "There was an error while extracting "Music.zip" "Music.zip empty archive" But I can see the size, it seems the zip is corrupt. I ran into this months back when I first tried Solus when downloading my cloud items from Onedrive.

Are you sure this is a problem with Solus? Have you downloaded that archive to another computer and successfully extracted it?

Staudey I have not tried to another computer, I can while at work. But as I stated, I had the same issue the last time I tried Solus. I wound up using a paid app that migrates on the back end.

It's likely it really is corrupt, but if you have cmd line zip installed, just unzip it and see if that also says corrupt.

There is also the onedrive CLI-app in the repository, if you want to try that to sync your files.

This is potentially a silly question, but how did you transfer the file?

Do you try to extract the content of the archive directly from the cloud or have you tried to copy it on your local drive then extract its content?
How did you create the archive? When you use maximum compression for example it may happen that it reduces portability because the algorithm may not be supported by others or older versions.

kyrios log into Onedrive, select Music folder, download. It showed completed this morning, I've downloaded folders to Windows many times without issue. Somehow the file becomes corrupt when downloading to Solus desktop.

Try unzip from the terminal.

Using CLI-Onedrive, moving along, but seems to stop every so often requiring me to again, execute the command
"onedrive --synchronize"

Ran unzip, something happened to the file, odd it said completed:
_/Music $ unzip Music.zip
Archive: Music.zip
warning [Music.zip]: 34803336272 extra bytes at beginning or within zipfile
(attempting to process anyway)
error [Music.zip]: start of central directory not found;
zipfile corrupt.
(please check that you have transferred or created the zipfile in the
appropriate BINARY mode and that you have compiled UnZip properly)

oblvnnwtnjhn I'd say downloading a 37GB zip file would corrupt just about guaranteed on most home internet connections. I'd try and find less everything or nothing way of transferring the files.

Yeah, the chances are high unless you're pretty high-speed to get corrupted by intermittent issues.
