Is there any Camera app on Solus? ( Kamoso isn't opening )

Hi I'm new to solus and I'm searching for a camera app like cheese . There is Kamoso on Software store but that isn't working.

iroylearner111 Maybe consider a flatpak app instead, it increases the software that can be used on Solus considerably. Cheese is available in flatpak.
You don't mention what version of Solus you are using. Recently introduced alternatives to Software Centre are available for most versions and make for a more fluid integration with flatpaks. For example in Plasma version install and use Discover.
A search round this forum should identify a direction for you.

iroylearner111 Just want to make sure: Is this a new install? Did you already apply update (sudo eopkg up)? Did you already rebooted?

brent answer shouldn't be necessary anymore as we already enable Flathub by default (If you are on latest update).

We have cheese, kamoso, and snapshot in our repository for camera app. If you do want to try install flatpak application via GUI, you can first install gnome-software. It will handle both eopkg and flatpak nicely, also will be (still the planned) future replacement of Software Center.

BuzzPCSOS I tried to install Flatpak buy using this command ---sudo eopkg install flatpak--
but after I click enter it says
The following package(s) are already installed and are not going to be installed again:
flatpak
No packages to install.
what should I do now?

if this is the first time you have used flatpak then you need to flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub https://flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo

then flatpak search cheese

then flatpak install org.gnome.Cheese

I can confirm that it doesn't work for me. I'm using Plasma, and I thought it might be a GNOME app, but that shouldn't stop it.

would also advise if it was in our software center (it is) and maintained by Solus, I would install the Solus package ten times out of ten over the flatpak. but if you are up and runing and happy, more power to you.

**also flatpak is a nice wonderland like the AUR but you have to remember to keep your packages updated. I do this flatpak update -y && flatpak remove --unused -y 3X a week. [command courtesy of forum member @WetGeek ]
