before 8/1 this waiting disaster was never a possibility. Sigh.
I did not have the words so I explained it to her like you told me. Even though she's a WIN girl, she's not trusting this scenario they are forcing her into at home, so she has decided not to O365 Web and do all home-based work with Libre.
It's weird because at her work there is no cloud or 365 sign-in, just the HDD-installed Office apps...
Case closed. I would do a dis-service to everyone who tried to help me if I picked a single best answer so I won't, but she chose LibreOffice and this is SOLVED. BIG thank you everybody.
