I don't remember having this applet last month.
I think there needs to be some fine-tuning here so program with long names doesn't turn up like this.

Seems to be you installed vala-panel-appmenu or something from Budgie Extras, which isn't in our repo, seeing as neither the Global Menu or the Calendar are applets we support or ship in Budgie Desktop itself.
