I am not much of writer, but I read/heard many people that dislikes the workflow of office suites to write document. They mostly use either Markdown of LaTex. I myself rather like markdown for the simplicity and only use simple text editor (gnome-text-editor
). For serious writing in Markdown, I heard good things about ghostwriter
and obsidian
. The latter function more as knowledge-base system. For LaTex, I heard about lyx
and textstudio
. Never figured out to use latex, so couldn't say much. For presentation, I think office software like libreoffice-impress
or onlyoffice
seems the most straightforward one. I see some people use online tools like Canva or Prezi for presentation (or for anything really, looks really convinient!), like my little brother.
