While browsing this thread, I came across your charming post.

My wife and I live with a tortoiseshell-colored cat who is 18 and a half years old, she is very friendly and in good health.
The vet says that given her current condition, she could live to be at least 20 years old, if not longer.
My wife was reading on a news feed the case of a cat of the same color who died at... 25 years old!
So, as you can see, you have many good years of companionship ahead of you with your cat... and many happy moments to share... 😊

I live in a small city apartment and right now I am visiting my parents in the countryside in the house were I grew up. Here in Quebec, Canada it can be very cold during the winter.

For exemple it is now 23h05 and the temperature is -15c (5F) and during the night it might go as low as -22c (-7.6F) It is also very windy so it feels even colder than that outside. My parents main source of heat is a wood stove and it works very well even for a fairly big house.

Right now I am enjoying the fire in the dark since I don't have that in my apartment

I remember this beautiful winter day in Montreal in 2008. Minus 19° Celsius. Dry. Blue Sky. Sunshine. Snow. I miss that.
And these snow blizzards after which municipal folks need more than 2 weeks to de-snow streets and sidewalks (déneiger)
The person who's job it is to plow the streets is called déneigeur. This Word made it's way into the dictionary (lerobert) only 10 years ago or so.
I remember having heard this "news" listening to a Montreal radio station.

My afternoon:

skins, frames, finished product.
had to start by putting replacement skins in oven to make malleable to the frames then baby those things into the jeep. stretch, tug, pull, finesse, straighten repeatX3hrs.

Had to get done.
