Problem with Spyder5

Spyder5 is not opening on click. Seems that something is missing from the installation : "pkg_resources.DistributionNotFound: The 'pylint<3.1,>=2.5.0' distribution was not found and is required by python-lsp-server, spyder".
How can one solve this problem ?

Did you install it from pip ? Solus only have spyder3 available in the repository. pylint in the repo might be too old for spyder5.

I installed Spyder 5.5.0 from the repository. it is the only version that is proposed.

Report a bug to our website. In the meantime, you can install spyder from the script. It is also easy to remove because it has an uninstall file.
