Dropbox works right on Linux Mint but not Solus

It doesn't matter how long my computer has been up, the information when I click on Dropbox in the taskbar doesn't change from the initial startup information. See screenshot below.

I assume Dropbox has old code that works okay with Linux Mint. I was hoping someone could tell me what the difference is so I could reach out to someone at Dropbox's Flatpak to see if they could update whatever is needed to improve functionality.

Dropbox has native applications for Debian based distros and Fedora. The Flatpak is an unofficial release by someone who has packaged the source for flatpak. It does look like it was updated 11 days ago so it might be worth reaching out.

Otherwise Dropbox does have instructions on how to build from source.

diagnostics0 Turns out I am running Dropbox from the Solus repository. Does that make any difference? I am just trying to figure out which tree I need to bark up to see if anyone is willing to fix this bug.

What desktop environment is this in? Budgie or another DE?

So, I just tested this myself on Budgie VM. It seems the app is working fine. All file is synced to the cloud and vice versa. It is just the applet that is not changing, it is always "Connecting...". I tried to update it to latest version (just released 5 days ago) but the problem still persist. Still harmless tho. If you can ignore the applet and just use the folder pin/marker as indicator if anything is synced, you are good to go. As to why this happens? No idea.
