I've become curious about the advantages of BTRFS, so I created a Solus 4.5 Plasma VM with the root file system on BTRFS instead of the EXT4 that I normally use for these. Please understand that I plan to do some research but I haven't started that yet.
Everything I've heard about this file system leaves me with the impression that it's an improvement over EXT4, but I don't yet know in what ways. If you use BTRFS, I'd be interested in knowing why you do, and what it does for you that EXT4 does not.
Also, I found out that btrfs-progs is installed by default, and it's supposed to have some file system utilities, but I have no idea how to access those. It doesn't appear in the menu, nor can I launch it in the terminal using that package name. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
