johnny_swingdice After running a system update on 1/19/2024 my system will not shutdown. When I initiate a shutdown it always does a restart instead. I saw this issue with Arch about a month ago, and it had to do with some kernel flags or something of that nature. I am running the KDE version of Solus.
Phiqu johnny_swingdice If you haven't done yet you should do a rollback for the moment. sudo eopkg hs Choose the entry before the update and run sudo eopkg hs -t xxx in my case it would be sudo eopkg hs -t 214
Axios I had that issue with a lenovo yoga recently could not figure whats wrong kinda wrote it off as bios. but since your post not so sure now. (Just info) (New install 4.5 with updates) Budgie
BloodFeastMan You've probably already tried shutting down from a terminal, but if not, try this command line: sudo shutdown now ^^ that command should shut down sudo shutdown -r now ^^ that will reboot
Axios BloodFeastMan Ya I tried all those commands with same results would restart. pwr button would shut it down
BloodFeastMan Axios Yeah I thought you probably had, but wondered if the gui shutdown script had been fat fingered somehow.
