I have a Microsoft bluetooth Keyboard and Mouse, model 7N900005. They use Bluetooth 4.0, so they don't need external adapters, which is excellent.

I use them on a daily basis on my Dell G7, which is where I have Solus installed.

The main issue is that, if I don't use the mouse for 3 seconds it disconnects, and I have to move it so it connects again, which leads to tons of hanging and lagging.

The keyboard also stops responding from time to time in the middle of typing, it hangs then all the words I typed appear all of sudden on the screen.

I don't know if this has anything to do with the battery saving options, or any other thing. But if you guys could help me I'd be much appreciated.

The support for Bluetooth is dependent on which DE you're using. It would help us to be able to help you if you'll tell us whether you're using Budgie, GNOME, Xfce, or Plasma.

it seems to me that could be a power management thing, just an idea, could be another thing.
more info is appreciated, different desktops, different ways to tackle that issue.
