Why does system monitor show more swap than what you have part

I remember someone asking this about their memory readings and the different numbers across a number apps. DataDrake responded in a long, interesting answer but it all boiled down to 'these numbers are all the same but it depends on who's [what app and how it tallies; etc] doing the counting."
gnome-system-monitormight have a different way/method of formulating than gparted, for example. I don't know if what I remember lends itself to Swap though.

Most likely zram. This is virtual swap that uses compressed memory.

I havent used physical disk swap before so I did not notice it but on these machine I did and noticed it.

ReillyBrogan I prob wont touch it everything is working particularly well
on this lenovo ideapad flex. Suspend hibernate reboot shutdown keyboard functions .
I disabled the touchscreen(be nice to have that feature in budgie if I missed that feature let me know)

In fact it prob be my main linux laptop the intel 8620 wifi is a screamer for some reason compared to my other ones.

Only really complaint is I wish sometimes the flatpaks started alittle faster. (I noticed that in general not just this machine)

Thanks for the hard work.
I found a neat way to suck in your theme icons into replaceing the flatpak icon if they can (example master pdf editor its not square but is a flatpak install just kinda cool.

Axios stroke of genius to scrunch up the panel and make it widgets only with no pinned apps. I've tried a version of that where I tucked bar in next to Plank and scooched Plank to the left. but the size thing..

brent ya kinda separates it system stuffs up top and programs down low
had issues with terminal apps so plank got put to use.
Seems be very functional.

Really only learning curve was nemo had change stuff in settings but it finally turned out like I want it.
Rest of it came back to me.

brent No I mostly run them from like the budgie menu but they would disappear from there
if you look I use the plank menu in the lower dock and they show up and launch from there without issues.
when I selected in budgie menu run from terminal the would disappear.
(Of course being a terminal app they would not run otherwise)

Really like the plank way tho its all good worked out alright.
That reminds me never filed a deal on that.

Not sure I tried them from the budgie dock was focused on putting them in the budgie menu.

Axios ok they would disappear from the budgie menu, that makes sense. so taskbar/panel ineffective by then. that's ok you never filed a deal on that, I've forgotten to file a few....yes I think they take notes from us and fix later!

tell me about it. Ive tried a few decent distros sometimes a couple months but they all are missing something--none are solus. even with the arch AUR and all them shiny fun toys. and fedora was solid and had their own huge unofficial repo. but still my withdrawls persisted. what's up with that🙂?

not sure what everything does here but way back when for the Nautilus phase-out it was recommended we get the nemo image converter and fileroller plugins installed (both in middle of pic).---personally I have found them both useful and I use them.
