Tap to click in Xfce

Hi.
I just installed Xfce on an old Inspiron 15 with I3 processor.
Seems like everything is working fine but there is one thing that is annoying.
This laptop has physical buttons below the trackpad for right and left clicking. When i go to the setting app for mouse and trackpad there is no place i can set tap to click, i had Budgie earlier on this laptop and there tap to click worked.
Anyone who can suggest a way to get tap to click working?

Hi, I do not have a fix for this, however, I can confirm that "Tap To Click" is missing in the settings for Mouse and Touchpad"

I have XFCE installed on a really old Sony VAIO with an Intel Pentium, it is nice and light and fast on this machine, tap to click not working, is the only thing that I have noticed so far.

I have found a work around for this here:

I have used this before, for any i3 installations that I have done previously, if you follow the information given here and then reboot Tap to Click should be working.

I can confirm that it has worked on my Sony machine.

It is a rough hack, but for now it works.

Does installing xorg-driver-input-synaptics make a difference?

I am not sure about that, you would need to do a full re-installation to find out.

Thanks for this, it appears that this is missing from the original ISO, upon installing - xorg-driver-input-synaptics, then rebooting the tab within settings foe Mouse and Touchpad is now present.
