I've initiated hibernation with the command 'sudo systemctl hibernation'. The system then went successfully into hiberrnation.

When I started the system the passphrase is no longer recognized and after the third unsuccessful attempt I get error messages. After a while draquit-initqueue runs timeout scripts and generates the file /run/initramfs/rdsosreport.txt.

I've briefly looked into this file and it apparently confirms that the passphrase is not recognized. But to be honest I don't have enough time right now to have a closer look at the report right now. And I have no USB stick handy to copy the file.

Has anybody an idea what went wrong? How can I fix this?

  • Could be something simple like capslock is in a different state after hibernation. If you force a power down and then restart can you log in then?

Ferdi I've initiated hibernation with the command 'sudo systemctl hibernation'

Interesting. I've always used systemctl hibernate. It's fun to create that as a custom keyboard shortcut. I use CTRL+H for that.

I've tried again the next morning and it works again.

So maybe it was really a keyboard issue.
