Introducing Our New Community Forums
CraigMatze Thank You Craig for point this perspective out. Really for the first time, on a freshly installed OS I had the feeling to be in touch with my hardware, the feeling I can really in control of it. That's for the speed of boot, the system is so reactive and ready in no time. I really have the feel software and hardware working on a level never before experienced. Excellence the Developers strive and achieve, I believe, with any line of Solus code. Thank You for that IOU <3
Facebook and Twitter are more for news broadcast
I personally treat Facebook and Google+ pages as announce only, engagement there is more rare from me compared to our Twitter and Mastodon.
As always, the Solus team never disappoints, congrats for making this awesome forum I really like it and enjoy using it
Forum looks very nice!
Awesome work as always folks! I will surely add this to my regularly visited sites
Also, the dark mode fits Budgie so well, it's like magic! ^^

Hi, that's just fof/prevent-necrobumping
at work, no need to report this feature (it was configured that way, through the extension I mentioned)
I wanted to join this community to clear that up and have been being poking around the Internet looking to see all of these new thriving communities powered by Flarum (I am a developer for FriendsOfFlarum (FoF) and ReFlar (which brought you Reactions and Nightmode
))
@JoshStrobl love what you've done with the place! Currently running Solus on a VM and I absolutely LOVE IT.

Yea the issue they were having was addressed in prevent-necrobumping 1.0.2. It was preventing people from posting below (not above) the necrobumping threshold that was set.

All extensions which have made Flarum significantly more usable (or in the case of Night Mode something that was really a must for me to deploy it in the first place, since I didn't want to enforce dark mode for everyone). So thank you for all your contributions

Thanks! Obviously feel free to stick around, no need to be a stranger
Congratulations to all team Solus for the new forum.
I want to raise a possible issue with the current forum configuration.
One thing I miss greatly (esp like the thread for showing solus desktop, but also for screenshots for support) is that the attachment size is apparently fairly low, thus I usually can't see details on the screenshots. Is this a personal failing?
dbarron The size is 2MB, that is way more than enough. My advise would be just opening it up in GIMP and saving it as a JPG.
JoshStrobl Go enjoy your vacation!!! You have other core-team members here.

Josh (yes, go enjoy your vacation), I'm not complaining about it for posting so much as a viewer of what others post. Maybe the issue is that in the fight to make sure it's small enough to post, they're overdoing it ? I should try to post something and see what I think from that end.
Ok, having posted something in which I know the dimensions and resolutions, yeah, the size limitation isn't bad. But it does leave me with a question. Apparently, behavior is the cause of my minor complaint. I'm used to clicking on the image to get a fuller sized view. This feature apparently isn't enabled (or maybe not supported in the forum software). However, I find (as a workaround) that I can open the image in a new tab and get a larger view sufficient for older eyes.

It isn't something which is supported at this moment in time but I will likely write a Flarum extension to accomplish a lightbox feature for embedded images when I'm back in April
JoshStrobl I do hope you atleast have your feet up relaxing, while you surf.
@dbarron Best alternative until a lightbox can be developed is using imgur. Then you can embed the thumbnail as a link to the full image.
My plasma desktop for instance, code:
[ ](https://i.imgur.com/r9aRrU5.jpg)
Notice the L (lowercase though) at the end of the first URL, that indicates I want a large thumbnail. Second URL is the full image on imgur.
Justin TIL that's supported.
Hello everyone just wanted to say what a great and clean looking forum, I hope to spend some of my time in discussions and checking out what Solus had to offer as a OS
I've got to say, this is the second forum I've seen using flarum, and I love it. I wish Nextcloud and Brave Browser forums would switch to Flarum.
