Different, but...old login credentials no longer work?
It's a completely different system so no, phpBB forum credentials will not work with Flarum. That's why I encouraged people to sign in with accounts we'd expect that they would likely have, Phabricator account details (for our Development Tracker) or GitHub.
Plans to bring over the posts from the old forum platform? There's quite a bit of useful info in the old forums.
No, they would've had to be moved by hand and I'd rather we just start fresh.
